ECRCHS Speech and Debate

This was the first tournament of the 2014-2015 school year. Emily and Marlon made finals in Duo Interpretation and ended up taking 5th place. Shiloh made semifinals in Original Prose and Poetry but unfortunately wasn't aware she had advanced to the next day and thus didn't show on day two. In Varsity Congress Shawn made semifinals, where he took dead last and didn't advance to finals. Fortunately Albert, Teddy, and Marlon all advanced to finals and represented ECR quite well. Teddy took 10th place, Albert took 9th place, and Marlon took 7th place. In the novice division Jasmine and Andrew advanced to the Semifinals but sadly didn't make it to finals. Mustafa was the only novice from ECR to advance to the final round and he held his ground well in finals.
